SELECTION PROCESS


  • A panel of blockchain, writing and design community judges will evaluate the submissions.
  • The decision of the judging panel will be final.

GENERAL RULES FOR THE EVENT

 

  • Deadline: All submissions must be made by 20th October.
  • Participants must mandatorily email at kba.admin@duk.ac.in citing the posted link and clear subject line. 
  • Plagiarism and the production of AI-generated content will result in disqualification from the competition.
  • The decisions of the judging panel are final and cannot be appealed.
  • By submitting an entry, participants agree to allow the organisers to showcase their work in future promotional materials or events, with due credit to the creator.
  • Paid Internships: Opportunities to secure paid internships.

COMPETITIONS OPEN

1. Sketch The Ethereum

Description:

A sketch edition that ranges from abstract depictions of decentralised networks to creative interpretations of Ethereum’s core components like smart contracts, decentralised applications (DApps), consensus mechanisms, and more.

Guidelines:

  • All sketches must be original. Plagiarism or reproduction of pre-existing art will result in disqualification.
  • Sketches should reflect themes related to Ethereum, including but not limited to decentralisation, blockchain technology, smart contracts, DApps, and consensus mechanisms.
  • If using the Ethereum logo, participants must strictly adhere to the Ethereum Foundation’s guidelines for logo usage. The logo should not be distorted, recoloured, or misrepresented in any way.
  • Submissions should be high-resolution digital sketches (.jpeg, .png, or .pdf format).
  • Each participant may submit only one entry.

Judging Criteria:

  • Innovative and unique interpretations of Ethereum’s elements.
  • How well the sketch resonated with Ethereum’s core ideas.
  • Quality and clarity of the sketch.
  • Proper use of the Ethereum logo (if included) and adherence to event rules.

Submissions should be published on LinkedIn/X/Facebook/Instagram by properly tagging @keralablockchainacademy and @Ethereum, and the link should be shared with kba.admin@duk.ac.in with the subject line, “Sketch The Ethereum- RTD Competition”.

2. Blockchain in Verse

Description:

A poetry segment that includes short poems or narrative poetry reflecting themes such as decentralisation, transparency, innovation, and the future of blockchain technology through Ethereum.

Guidelines:

  • All poems must be original. Plagiarism and AI-generated content will result in disqualification.
  • Poems should focus on Ethereum-related themes like decentralisation, blockchain innovation, transparency, and the vision of a decentralised future.
  • Submissions must be in English.
  • Poems can be up to 20 lines long. Longer submissions will not be accepted.
  • Typed submissions should be published on LinkedIn/X/Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn/X/Facebook/Instagram by properly tagging @keralablockchainacademy and @Ethereum, and the link should be shared with kba.admin@duk.ac.in with the subject line, “ Blockchain in Verse- RTD Competition”.

Judging Criteria:

  • How well the poem conveys themes of Ethereum and blockchain.
  • Unique, thought-provoking interpretations.

3. Ethereum Chronicles 

Description:

A storytelling circle that invites participants to narrate Ethereum’s history, vision, and future, which can be factual, fictional, or even futuristic.

Guidelines:

  • Submissions must be original and not previously published. Plagiarism and AI-generated content will result in disqualification.
  • Stories should focus on Ethereum, encompassing its origins, milestones, innovations, or futuristic speculations about its potential.
  • Submissions should not exceed more than 600 words and should be in English.
  • Narratives can be factual, fictional, or speculative, but must be coherent and relevant to Ethereum.
  • Each participant is allowed only one submission.
  • Submissions should be published on LinkedIn/X/Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn/X/Facebook/Instagram by properly tagging @keralablockchainacademy and @Ethereum, and the link should be shared with kba.admin@duk.ac.in with the subject line, “ Ethereum Chronicles- RTD Competition”.

Judging Criteria:

  • Unique and imaginative storytelling approaches.
  • How closely does the story tie into Ethereum’s history, vision, or future.

4.Ethereum in Pixels

Description:

A digital poster expo inviting participants to visually represent various aspects of Ethereum through digital art.

Guidelines:

  • All posters must be original works. Submissions that copy or reproduce other content will be disqualified.
  • Posters should visually explain Ethereum’s core concepts, such as decentralised applications, smart contracts, consensus mechanisms, etc.
  • If the Ethereum logo is used, it must follow the Ethereum Foundation’s guidelines regarding logo usage.
  • Submissions must be in high resolution and optimised for digital display. The submissions should be published on LinkedIn/X/Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn/X/Facebook/Instagram by properly tagging @keralablockchainacademy and @Ethereum, and the link should be shared with kba.admin@duk.ac.in with the subject line, “Ethereum in Pixels- RTD Competition”.
  • Each participant is allowed only one submission.

Judging Criteria:

  • Innovative and original visual interpretations of Ethereum.
  • How well does the poster explain Ethereum’s components or significance?
  • Artistic quality and visual appeal of the design.
  • Proper usage of the Ethereum logo (if applicable) and compliance with event rules.
